Privacy Policy

Overview

MedBud is a personal wellness and organization app. Its core user-entered content is calculated and stored on your device. The developer does not operate an account-based health-record service and does not receive, sell, or use your user-entered health information for advertising.

Optional features such as Google Drive backup, Google Play purchases, rewarded ads, external links, and font delivery use network services. Those limited data flows are described below.

Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the features you use, MedBud may store:

• any optional display name, date of birth, formula selection, height, and weight you choose to save in your private “Me” profile to pre-fill relevant calculator fields;
• household profile names, relationship labels, and the currently selected profile;
• user-created medicine or dose reminder names, strength, form, schedule, timing, notes, status, and the profile they belong to;
• water intake, goals, reminder settings, and dated water history;
• bedtime, wake time, reminder settings, calculated sleep duration, and dated sleep history;
• dated results and display details for BMI, BMR, Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), ideal-weight equation, body-fat estimate, lean-body-mass estimate, water-intake reference, heart-rate zones, waist-to-height ratio, and walking or running pace, including supporting values retained by some histories;
• personal records, categories, notes, expiry information, reminder details, prescriptions, reports, and attachments you choose to add; and
• app preferences, theme, app-lock settings, entitlement state, backup status, and a random installation identifier.

Records and medicine data are stored in an encrypted local database. Other lightweight settings and wellness histories are stored in the app's private local storage. A device that is unlocked, compromised, rooted, backed up by the operating system, or shared with another person may expose locally stored data.

Household Profiles and Information About Other People

MedBud lets an adult device user organize information under "Me" or optional profiles such as a partner, child, parent, or another family member. These are local organizational labels, not MedBud accounts. MedBud does not verify a person's identity, relationship, age, consent, or authority, and it does not notify the person whose information is entered.

If you enter information about somebody else, you are responsible for having an appropriate reason and any permission required to store and manage that information on your device or in your backup.

Calculators and Wellness Dashboard

Inputs for calculators are processed on the device. The catalogue includes BMI, BMR, TDEE, ideal-weight equation, body-fat estimate, lean-body-mass estimate, water-intake reference, heart-rate zones, waist-to-height ratio, and walking or running pace. Depending on the calculator, MedBud may hold the height, weight, age, formula selection, activity level, waist, resting pulse, distance, or duration you enter while the screen is in use. Values from your “Me” profile may pre-fill relevant fields; you can review or change them before calculating.

The three-step first-launch introduction can be skipped, and every “Me” profile field can be left empty. Supported height and weight fields accept metric or imperial units and convert values on the device for calculation and profile defaults.

When you calculate a result, MedBud may save the dated result information described above so it can show history for the selected household profile. Searching the calculator catalogue and calculating a result do not send your search or inputs to the developer's server.

The wellness dashboard, averages, trends, goal counts, and consistency summary are derived locally from your saved entries. MedBud does not send those calculations or summaries to the developer's server. Every calculator includes a named reference link. The external website opens only when you tap that link, and it receives the normal technical information associated with a browser visit under their own privacy policies.

Reminders and Notifications

MedBud may request notification and exact-alarm permissions so it can schedule user-created medicine, water, sleep, record-expiry, and other reminders. Notification content may be visible on the lock screen or to anybody who can view your device, depending on your operating-system settings.

Personal Documents and Files

If you choose to store prescriptions, reports, or other personal documents, MedBud processes them only to import, crop, display, organize, export, or remind you about them. MedBud does not send their contents to the developer for advertising, profiling, diagnosis, or treatment.

App Lock and Biometrics

If you enable app lock, MedBud stores verification material rather than your readable PIN. If you enable biometric unlock, the app asks the operating system whether authentication succeeded. Biometric templates remain controlled by the device and are not accessible to MedBud or its developer.

Optional Google Drive Backup

If you connect Google Drive, Google Sign-In makes the selected account identity available to the app so it can authenticate and show which account is connected. MedBud requests only the private Drive AppData scope and cannot browse your ordinary Drive files.

The current Drive backup contains structured record and medicine reminder data, household profiles, attachment metadata, and the random installation identifier. It does not currently include attachment file bytes, water or sleep histories, calculator histories, the personal “Me” calculator-default profile, or every app preference. Drive backup content is sent through Google's authenticated connection and stored in your private AppData area; it is not placed in a public Drive folder. Google's storage and transport protections apply under Google's terms.

You can disconnect Drive in MedBud. You can manage or delete the stored AppData backup using your Google account's Drive controls. Disconnecting does not automatically delete an existing backup.

Portable Local Export and Import

If you create a local export, MedBud packages the supported backup data and available attachment files into an encrypted .medbud archive. You choose where to save or share that file. After it leaves the app's private storage, its security, retention, and recipients are under your control. Imported data is merged into the app rather than automatically replacing every existing item.

Purchases and App Entitlement

If you buy a premium plan through Google Play, Google processes the payment under its own privacy terms. To verify entitlement, MedBud may send the Play product identifier, purchase token, platform, and random installation identifier to the app's backend service. The service uses that information to validate, issue, restore, and protect access to purchased features.

Installation Identifier and Developer Service

MedBud creates a random identifier for each installation and stores it on the device. It is not a hardware identifier, advertising identifier, or Google account email. The app may send it to the developer's service to retrieve configuration, verify entitlement, count earned record allowances, and prevent duplicate rewarded-ad claims.

Reward verification may also include an ad-unit identifier and a transaction identifier. Standard network requests may expose IP address, date and time, and basic request metadata to hosting and security systems. The developer service does not receive your household names, personal “Me” profile, records, documents, reminder details, water or sleep logs, calculator searches, calculator inputs, calculator histories, or wellness dashboard.

Advertising

Where enabled, MedBud uses Google AdMob to display banner or rewarded ads. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP-derived information, device and app information, consent choices, and ad views, clicks, or reward events under their own privacy terms. MedBud does not provide your user-entered health information, records, documents, household profiles, or calculator results to AdMob for ad targeting.

Third-Party Services

Depending on the features you use, MedBud may rely on third-party services such as:

• Google Play Billing for purchases
• Google Drive APIs for optional backups
• Google Sign-In if you choose to connect a Google account for backup
• AdMob for advertising, where enabled
• Google Fonts for interface font delivery where a font is not bundled
• Google Play services for app availability and update checks
• External reference websites when you open calculator source links

These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Permissions

MedBud may ask for permissions such as notifications, camera, and photo or file access only when needed for the related feature you are using. You can deny or revoke permissions in system settings, although the related feature may stop working.

Retention, Deletion, and Your Controls

Local information remains until it is deleted, replaced, aged out by an in-app history limit, cleared through an available control, or removed with the app's storage. You can delete individual calculator history entries, edit or delete records and medicine reminders, disable reminders, manage household profiles, update your “Me” profile, disconnect Drive, and remove app lock through available app controls.

Clearing MedBud's app data or uninstalling it normally removes its local data from that device, subject to operating-system backups or files you exported. It does not delete a Drive AppData backup or a local archive stored elsewhere. Those must be deleted using the relevant Google account, file manager, or destination service.

The developer cannot retrieve or delete health data that never left your device. For questions or requests concerning developer-controlled purchase records, contact the address below. Some purchase records may be retained where needed for entitlement, accounting, dispute handling, or legal obligations. Adults and Dependent Profiles

MedBud is intended to be operated by adults and is not directed to children. An adult may choose to create a local profile for a child or dependent, but the app's adult calculator references are not converted into pediatric guidance. The adult user is responsible for the dependent's information and for seeking qualified care.

This policy may change when MedBud's features, data handling, or legal requirements change. The updated date above identifies the current version.
