MedBud Terms of Service

Acceptance

By using MedBud, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. MedBud is intended to be operated by adults.

Service Description

MedBud is a personal utility app that helps you organize user-added records and documents, create medicine and other reminders, track water and sleep, search and use wellness reference calculators, keep dated histories, and display locally derived summaries and charts. A three-step first-launch introduction highlights app features and offers an optional “Me” profile for calculator defaults. You may skip the flow or leave every field empty. If you save defaults, you remain responsible for reviewing every value before calculating.

Features may vary by platform, app version, purchase status, configuration, permissions, connectivity, and third-party service availability. MedBud may change, add, limit, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

Household and Dependent Profiles

Your private “Me” profile may include an optional display name, date of birth, formula selection, height, and weight for calculator defaults; none of these fields is required. You may also organize information under optional household profiles for another person. Profiles are labels within your copy of the app, not separate accounts, and MedBud does not verify an identity, relationship, age, consent, or legal authority.

You are responsible for having any permission or authority needed to enter, store, export, back up, or act on another person's information. Creating a profile does not notify that person or give them access to the data.

Wellness Trackers and Dashboard

Water goals, sleep windows, averages, trends, goal counts, consistency scores, colored statuses, charts, and suggested next steps are general organizational summaries derived from the data you enter. They are not measurements made by a medical device and do not prove that health, fitness, sleep, hydration, or body composition has improved or worsened.

Generic goals and summaries are not individualized clinical recommendations. Personal needs can vary because of age, pregnancy, breastfeeding, health conditions, medicines, climate, activity, and other factors.

Calculator References

MedBud calculators are provided for general informational and organizational use. The searchable catalogue includes BMI, BMR, Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), ideal-weight equation, body-fat estimate, lean-body-mass estimate, water-intake reference, heart-rate zones, waist-to-height ratio, and walking or running pace. Each result is an estimate, ratio, range, or general reference based on the data you enter and the formula or guidance identified on its screen.

A source link opens only when you tap it. External sources and links may change independently of MedBud and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Results depend on the accuracy of your inputs and on generalized equations that do not account for every individual difference. Saved history, charts, colors, labels, comparisons, and dashboard presentation do not make a result a diagnosis or personalized recommendation.

Adult body-composition, energy, and weight references are not pediatric assessment tools. General heart-rate and water values may be inappropriate for a particular user because medicines, health conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, climate, and activity can change individual needs. Ask a qualified healthcare professional which assessment or range is appropriate for you or a dependent.

No Medical Advice

MedBud does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, dosage recommendations, weight-management plans, nutrition plans, individualized calorie, hydration, or sleep prescriptions, or emergency health services. It does not monitor you or a household member and does not contact a clinician, caregiver, pharmacy, or emergency service.

Do not delay or disregard professional advice because of content in MedBud. For urgent symptoms, suspected overdose, missed critical medicine, or another emergency, contact an appropriate healthcare professional or local emergency service rather than relying on the app.

Medicine and Other Reminders

Medicine and dose reminders are created entirely from information you enter. MedBud does not verify medicine names, strength, interactions, suitability, timing, course length, or dosage, and it does not generate a prescription. Follow instructions from your prescriber, pharmacist, medicine label, or qualified professional.

Notifications can be delayed, hidden, duplicated, or missed because of device settings, battery optimization, permission changes, operating-system behavior, time-zone changes, app removal, or technical failure. Do not use MedBud as the only safeguard for a time-critical medicine or health action.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the information you enter, the reminders you create, the documents you store, and any decisions you make using the app. You are also responsible for protecting access to your device, app lock, Google account, notifications, and exported files; checking entries and calculated results; and maintaining an independent copy of information you cannot afford to lose.

Your Content and Privacy

You retain responsibility for the records, documents, profile labels, reminders, and other content you add. You must not use MedBud to store content unlawfully or in a way that violates another person's privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or other rights.

MedBud's handling of local data, household profiles, permissions, and developer-service identifiers, advertising, purchases, and third-party services is described in the Privacy Policy.

Backups, Export, Restore, and Deletion

If you use local export or Google Drive backup, you are responsible for keeping your device, files, and Google account secure. Backup and restore features are provided as utility tools and may depend on platform services outside MedBud's control.

The current Google Drive backup does not include every local item: water and sleep histories, all calculator histories, the personal “Me” calculator-default profile, attachment file bytes, and some preferences are excluded. A portable local export may include supported structured data and available attachment files. You are responsible for checking that a backup or restore contains what you expect before deleting an original.

Restore and import may merge data with existing items. Deleting an item in the app does not delete copies already saved in Drive, exported archives, operating-system backups, or another service. Uninstalling the app does not delete those separate copies.

Purchases

If premium features are available, purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's own terms. Restoring or verifying a purchase may require communication with MedBud's backend service and Google Play. Product availability, billing, cancellation, refund eligibility, subscription renewal, and payment methods are governed by the applicable store and law.

MedBud may present a full-version offer after optional onboarding or when you select a locked feature. The launch offer's close control appears after a brief one-second presentation delay; purchase is not required to enter the app. Which calculators, record capacity, backups, security tools, reminders, or advertising controls require full access can vary with the current catalogue.

Advertising

Where advertising is enabled, MedBud may show ads served by AdMob. Ads and rewarded-ad availability are provided by third-party services under their own terms. A promised reward is subject to successful ad completion and verification and may be limited to prevent duplicate or abusive claims. Premium access may remove ads where that feature is available.

Third-Party Services and Links

Google Play services and Google Play Billing, Google Drive, Google Sign-In, AdMob, Google Fonts, linked reference websites, your device platform, and any service you use to store or share an export are independent services. MedBud does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

No Warranty

MedBud is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. This includes no warranty that data, reminders, calculations, charts, backups, or imports, ads, purchases, or external services will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedBud and its maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, missed reminders, inaccurate user-entered information, incomplete backup or restore, unauthorized access to a shared device or exported file, or decisions made from calculator estimates, histories, dashboard summaries, or third-party content.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated over time. Continued use of MedBud after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app.
